"I have found this nursery to be clean and well run. The staff seem to genuinely care for the children. They participate in the Early Years Vouchers scheme too which is helpful."
"I have both my children at First Steps and have always found the care excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly and obviously enjoy their job and the children. I would recommend it to everyone."
Our Nursery is a validated provider of the Nursery Education Grant, funding is available for your child the term after their third birthday. We are also registered to accept Corporate and Government Child care vouchers.
All our staff at First Steps are NVQ trained or training and are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau and are chosen for their ability to provide the very best care and expertise for your child to the high standards you would expect as a parent.
First Steps staff receive a thorough training programme which covers first aid, safety, security, food hygiene and general nursery practices and procedures.
Our rooms cater for each age group and are spacious, bright and fully equipped with a wide range of toys, books and activities to cater for your child's needs. We have a large enclosed garden with play equipment and safety flooring for the children to enjoy supervised outdoor activity.
The safety of children is a high priority and we operate a range of procedures to ensure that access to our premises is restricted to staff and parents. The Nursery has detailed formal policies on all aspects of the Nursery which are available to parents at all times. These are regularly updated and reviewed.
